Saffron creates and works out of her Sydney studio, painting, embroidering, and layering various techniques over linen where her natural surroundings inspire her paintings.  She grew up in a small coastal town in NSW, graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and now lives by the shoreline on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.  Saffron’s works are abstracted by layering colour, creating texture and introducing subtle shapes. Saffron’s works are influenced by landscapes with her most recent pieces inspired by the beautiful Margaret River in remote Western Australia, a place where the famous desert wild flowers grow.

In 2012, Saffron was selected as one of ten artists to design a bespoke illustration for Lego’s 50 year anniversary in Australia

In 2016, she took on the role of being the host of the Creative Women’s Circle events.

In 2017, Saffron proudly opened the collective Sydney Road Gallery with twelve other talented artists. The gallery is filled with amazing works including Saffron’s textile art.

Saffron teaches creative workshops from her studio and at events all around Australia. She is regularly asked to be a guest speaker at events.

For the past 15 years, she has dedicated her work to creative path.
