Join Kim from Flowers by Lorey for some creative classes in the latest floral trends, Kokedama and Terrariums. PLEASE NOTE: Studio class is available for visitors to the show. Class fee does not include the entry ticket which must be purchased separately.
Kokedama: Japanese for ‘moss ball’. Create and take home your very own Kokedama aka fresh moss living plant.
Saturday August 19: 10.15am to 11.30am: You will learn the technique to create your Kokedama using a variety of different living suitable plants. Kim will also educate attendees on the history behind the Kokedama.
Workshop includes: Fresh plants, sphagnum moss, twine, potting soil and hanging twine. This class is suitable for students of any age – no experience necessary. Class cost: $75 per student. Book here
Terrarium: a glass container containing soil and plants which can be opened for maintenance to access the plants inside. Create and take home your own living terrarium.
Saturday August 19: 1pm to 2.30pm: Using fresh living plants and succulents learn the tips and techniques to create a thriving living terrarium.

Flowers by Lorey was created by Lorey Thomas in 2006. A floral designer from the age of 16yrs; Lorey began her floral journey learning her trade, tips & techniques from some of the Hunter’s finest floral stylists. Based in Kahibah, the Flowers by Lorey floral studio is unlike any other in Newcastle. The studio runs regular workshops in floral design with various talented teachers. They’re bringing their special skills to the show and you can learn from the best!
